Cara Terpening

Cara Terpening is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW). She has a substantial background in working with at risk children in a variety of settings, including school based services. She considers working with teens and at risk children her passion in therapy. She has a profound interest in working with individuals of all ages who have ADHD or who are grieving and children from blended or at risk families. Her preferred age range is kindergarten through young adults.

In addition, she is experienced in treating community mental health issues, including adults with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and schizophrenia.

It has been a longtime desire of Cara’s to work in a setting where she could integrate faith and counseling. Her journey has allowed her to work with both faith and therapy issues, but until coming to CFCC & Associates, she was unable to combine these elements into the special ministry she now enjoys.

In her free time, Cara loves to camp. She heartily recommends camping as she believes that it is one of the few activities that can support and strengthen families. She has taken part in this activity with her family since she was young, and continues the tradition with her own children.
