Lisa Moore

Hello, I'm Lisa Moore, an intern at Christ First Counseling, currently pursuing my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Friends University in Kansas City, KS. My journey into therapy began with an undergraduate degree in Business from Baker University in Baldwin City, KS, but my passion for understanding and nurturing relationships led me to this transformative field.

I hold a fundamental belief in the profound impact of both fear bonds and love bonds within our relationships. These connections, formed in our formative years, shape our identities, motivate our actions, and influence how we navigate life's challenges. Fear bonds often paralyze us emotionally, while love bonds empower us to grow, heal, and mature. My therapeutic approach centers on guiding individuals, couples, and families toward replacing fear bonds with love bonds, fostering resilience and growth.

In my practice, I aim to shepherd individuals through the journey of self-discovery and integration. I see therapy as a space for facing and embracing all facets of our pain, with the support of loving relationships and divine redemption. Together, we work towards establishing healthy individual identities, strong marriages, cohesive family units, and thriving communities.

When you enter my therapy room, my hope is that you can let go of any burdens you carry, allowing us to explore the revelations that unfold within relationships. Through collaborative exploration, I seek to help you access your authentic, spirit-led self, empowering you to embrace your inherent goodness and strength.

I hold onto hope when you can't, fostering an environment where you can experience curiosity, calmness, clarity, connectedness, confidence, courage, creativity, and compassion. My goal is for you to leave each session with a deep sense of self that remains steadfast even amidst adversity.

Together, let's navigate challenges creatively, ensuring that problems never overshadow the resilience of your relationships. Remember, you are resilient, and so are the relationships that sustain you.

Let's embark on this journey together, where problems are smaller than our relationships, and creative solutions lead us to a place where we can be proud of who we are, even in the hardest of times.

I want you to get excited about who you are, what you are, what you have, and what can still be for you. I want to inspire you to see that you can go far beyond where you are right now.
